MasterClass released a new course on GLP-1 medications and metabolic health on September 3, 2026, taught by Dr. Rocio Salas-Whalen, a triple board-certified endocrinologist specializing in obesity medicine. The program covers why standard diets fail and how to use these treatments under medical guidance.
The Labor Day offer brings the standard membership down to $60 a year from $120, or $5 a month, with Plus ($96) and Premium ($120) tiers adding offline access.
The topic keeps gaining ground in the fitness industry: several 2026 reports show gyms already adjusting programming for members on GLP-1s, with more focus on preserving muscle mass during weight loss.
For a Hyrox or DEKA competitor already deep into a structured training block, the relevance stays limited. These sports reward strength and power output, not medically managed weight loss. The course targets a general weight-loss audience, a different profile from someone chasing a faster split across eight stations.
