Ultrahuman Raises $70M to Move Beyond the Smart Ring
Qualcomm Ventures and Labcorp joined the round, which values the company at roughly $360 million. The brand is betting on glucose tracking, a metric gaining traction among hybrid endurance athletes.
Ultrahuman closed a $70 million round, mostly equity financing, with Qualcomm Ventures, Labcorp, Alpha Wave, Blume, Nexus, and Alteria participating. Indian outlets put the company's valuation around $360 million. The funds go toward sensing technology, AI, miniaturized electronics, and health algorithms, alongside an expanded blood-testing and metabolic health offering.
Founder Mohit Kumar frames the goal as moving past a simple wearable toward a continuous interface between the body and its data: sleep, cardiovascular health, metabolism, blood biomarkers, and recovery. Beyond the Ring Pro, the platform already includes Blood Vision testing and continuous glucose monitoring.
The round lands as the smart ring market heats up. Category leader Oura, valued at $11 billion with a projected $1.5 billion in 2026 revenue, is now aiming for a Nasdaq listing above $16 billion. Ultrahuman returned to the US market this year after settling a patent dispute with its rival.
Continuous glucose tracking, long reserved for diabetics, is gaining ground among hybrid endurance athletes. Spotting an energy dip tied to blood sugar during a high-volume Hyrox training block can explain a bad session better than blaming poor sleep alone. The catch: the tool only pays off with real discipline in reading the data, otherwise it just becomes another gadget on the wrist.
