Our verdict
The Aero Blaze 4 gets a new technical mesh for breathability and a secure fit, on an optiFOAM² midsole that Salomon presents as a mix of cushioning, response and quick transitions. It is the lighter-feeling option next to the Salomon Aero Glide 4 (men).
For a Hyrox build it suits the interval work: the classic 6 to 8 x 1 km at race pace mirrors the eight running segments of the course. It is a road shoe, so it does not replace a stable flat shoe on sled, carry and lunge stations.
What we like
- + Breathable technical mesh
- + Responsive midsole for faster runs
- + Cheapest of the three shoes picked
What to know
- - Less cushioning than the Aero Glide 4
- - Not stable enough for heavy station work
